Beacon Church, formerly known as East Brainerd Church of God, was founded in 1971.
Most of our church’s history took place under the leadership of Harold Swaggerty, who faithfully served as lead pastor from 1981 to 2020. Throughout the years, we have seen the transformative power of God touch many lives in the East Brainerd area. Our church has served as a stable resource for anyone who seeks a community of authentic believers who are committed to growing in faith together.
In February of 2020, pastor Gary Swaggerty with his wife Angie assumed the roles of lead pastors and introduced the name Beacon Church. Pastor Gary and Angie have brought a fresh enthusiasm to continue to advance the work of God through this body of believers.
Beacon Church is committed to transmitting the message of Jesus Christ and providing direction to the Lost.
